The 19th Century farm buildings have been imaginatively converted into a multi-purpose centre which includes seminar and teaching rooms, a dining room / meeting hall and accommodation for up to 36 people.
The centre is based around a landscaped south facing courtyard with views out across the Dorset countryside. When the weather’s good, this is just the place to linger over coffee and flapjacks.
For a night under the stars, Magdalen also has its own campsite complete with two tipis, fire pit and composting toilets. The campsite is a popular choice for school and youth groups as well as our adult visitors who enjoy the great outdoors.
A large ground floor room overlooking the courtyard.
The dining room is used for daytime and evening receptions.
For residential groups it acts as a refectory with a comfortable seating area with sofas at one end for relaxing.
Can seat up to 85 guests for a formal dinner or buffet style for 120. A mini marquee can be erected in the courtyard adjoining the dining room for larger parties.
